Real Ales, Moor Beer Company, Glastonbury Ales, RCH Brewery

We are a genuine Free House and it is our policy to feature beers from small independent breweries, many from the West Country but occasionally also more "exotic" visitors ! The range of beers varies constantly but we usually run at least one beer from one of the local micro breweries, Glastonbury Ales, Moor Beer Company, RCH Brewery or Isle of Avalon Brewery. Normally three ales are "on tap" at any one time.

See details about our local breweries and links to their websites underneath the beer list below.

GLASTONBURY ALES: Based in Somerton, founded in 2002 by Greig Nicholls and now owned by Paul Nash. Click here to visit their website.

MOOR BEER CO: Founded in Ashcott by Arthur and Annette Frampton in 1996 the brewery has now been taken over by Justin and Maryann Hawke from California and moved to Pitney in south Somerset.

RCH BREWERY: Originally attached to Royal Clarence Hotel in Burnham-on-Sea, both hotel and brewery being run by the Davey family. The hotel was sold off in 1993 and the brewery, still run by the Daveys, is now in an old cider mill at West Hewish, just outside Weston-super-Mare.
